Wireless software updates for connected cars: Technische Universität Berlin and ATS conduct joint research

The Berlin software technology company ATS Advanced Telematic Systems currently tests the deployment of wireless soft-  and firmware updates in connected cars within a joint research project with the Technische Universität Berlin (TUB). The project focuses on updating car components such as headlights, turn indicators and comfort systems during operation. ATS has provided TUB with its cloud platform ATS Garage and a specially equipped test vehicle for investigation purposes in road traffic. The TUB Motor Vehicles Department, part of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Transport Systems, is closely in touch with the economic and industry region Berlin-Brandenburg and has, similar to ATS, an excellent global network. Both partners underline the great importance of applied cooperations in the hightech environment and have since announced enhanced collaboration in the near future.
